White Supremacy Riot at the Capitol

On January 6th, 2021 – Pro-Trump rioters attempted a coup by storming the capitol during the electoral count ceremonial vote. This incident was White supremacy on full display. It was devastating and unprecedented, and most shockingly, called on by the President himself. This moment sparked painful emotions in particular in the Black community regarding the ability of the Capitol police to avoid the use of deadly force when White homegrown terrorists are involved. Peace & Conciliation Project is holding space for our Black and African-American friends to connect, converse and begin to heal.
