Celebrate Blackness

Juneteenth (a portmanteau of June and nineteenth) – also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day, and Emancipation Day – is a holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States.

Peace and Conciliation Project's Black Healing Space invites our Black and African American friends to come together with us for Juneteenth 2021, as we celebrate freedom from slavery and highlight the freedom to create.

The event will include an intimate conversation with three Black Creators who will share what they create, why they do so, and what celebrating our freedom to create means to them.

Throughout the event there will also be music celebrating genres created by Black Artists, including Jazz, R&B and more, all spun by a Black DJ!
