About the event

Actionable Peace 2021 is a series of small group discussions revolving around Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s book, How to Be an Antiracist. Each month we focus on one or two chapters, and over the course of a few discussion questions, share insights both textual and personal in order to gain a deeper understanding of antiracism.

Each discussion will build upon the last while still focusing on the lessons of that month’s particular chapters and current events. We welcome participants of every race, ethnicity, gender, and religious affiliation to further enrich the dialogue and foster individual growth. Though not required, we also encourage participants to simultaneously utilize Kendi’s Be Antiracist journal as a way to reflect on your commitments and track your journey.

Join us November 20, 2021 for an online discussion of Kendi’s 18th chapter: Survival. This event is designed to promote personal action. Please read the book chapters in advance of the meeting.
