About the event
Actionable Peace 2021 is a series of small group discussions revolving around Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s book, How to Be an Antiracist. Each month we focus on one or two chapters, and over the course of a few discussion questions, share insights both textual and personal in order to gain a deeper understanding of antiracism.
Each discussion will build upon the last while still focusing on the lessons of that month’s particular chapters and current events. We welcome participants of every race, ethnicity, gender, and religious affiliation to further enrich the dialogue and foster individual growth. Though not required, we also encourage participants to simultaneously utilize Kendi’s Be Antiracist journal as a way to reflect on your commitments and track your journey.
Join us December 18, 2021 for an online celebration of our journey through How to be An Antiracist, as well as an opportunity to share ideas and goals for Actionable Peace in 2022. We will share final takeaways, discuss what has changed for participants since the beginning of the journey, and promote action to continue this work in the years ahead.
